Directed by Dr. Annie Aimé, professor and researcher in the psychology and psycho-education department at Université du Québec en Outaouais in Quebec, Canada, the weight research lab focuses on weight control problems and eating disorders (ED).
We are presently recruiting participants for a doctoral research project underway in our laboratory at Université du Québec en Outaouais. Headed by Cynthia Gagnon, Annie Aimé, and Claude Bélanger, the study focuses on eating disorders and diabetes, and is designed to improve our understanding of the clinical and psychosocial profile of individuals with the double diagnosis of diabetes and ED. The ultimate goal of the project is to develop a specialized therapy for individuals with clinical or non-clinical eating disorders, and concomitant diabetes.
